Radio Starr Launches 6th November

We’re thrilled to finally share the news: Radio Starr goes live on 6th November.

Borne from Starr Records, our new station is built on the same values that have carried us through the past six years — independence, creativity, and community. Radio Starr is a platform for discovery, collaboration, and connection, amplifying the voices and sounds that make Belfast a UNESCO City of Music.

Unlike many stations, we will never charge artists or DJs to be part of our programming. We believe music should be a space for freedom, expression, and experimentation — not paywalls. That’s why every show you’ll hear is powered by the passion of our team, the creativity of our community, and the support of those who believe in keeping music culture independent.

Radio Starr receives no outside funding. Instead, we’re choosing to sustain the station through the shop: every vinyl, T-shirt, or gift card purchased at Radio Starr helps keep the airwaves alive. Your support allows us to cover essential costs, from equipment to licensing, while making sure the station remains open to everyone.

From day one, expect a mix that reflects who we are:
